Port Service Building Inauguration, iPort Port Management Software, RFID Access Control System and CCTV Surveillance System Launching Ceremony

The new Port Service Building at the Male’ Commercial Harbour was inaugurated by Mr. Mahmood Razee Minister of Civil Aviation and Communication. The new premises where all Departments under the Operations Division are located, will provide one location for all customer services, thereby improving speed and efficiency in providing Port Services to all MPL Customers.
iPort, a port management system, was officially launched by Mr. Ali Hashim, Minister of Finance and Treasury. The new system, will improve speed of service provided to MPL customers and would allow various customer related information and services to be provided online.
RFID, an access control system, was also launched by Mr. Ali Hashim. This system will increase port security and control unauthorized access to port area.

CCTV security camera system was launched by former chairman Mr. Mohamed Thaufeeq. This system will increase port security and allow security officials to monitor activities and movements in the port from a central location. This will also help in investigation of accidents or abnormal activities by port users.

 

 


 

MPL Sports and Recreation Club Futsal Challenge.

The Annual Futsal Tournament hosted and organized by the MPL Sports and Recreation Club began today early morning. A highly entertaining opening match played between two teams comprising of Board Directors and Senior Executives kicked off MPL Sports and Recreation Club Futsal Challenge at Maafannu Turf Stadium.

 

 


 


MPL hoist new flag

A ceremony was held today morning at 6am to hoist the new flag of Maldives Ports Limited. The ceremony was well attended by Board Directors, Management and staff of MPL.

 

 


 

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) Donates Rf75,000 (Seventy Five Thousand) to the Ministry of Human Resources, Youth and Sports for the SAFF Championship and South Asian Games 2010

Due to economic downturn the Ministry of Human Resources, Youth and Sports was facing difficulties in acquiring the funds to take part in the SAFF Championship and South Asian Games 2010. As a show of support for the Maldivian teams taking part in the games, the board and management of MPL resolved to donate Rf75,000 for the SAFF Championship and South Asian Games.

President Nasheed visits Maldives Ports Limited to inspect the future expansion site of the Alongside Berth at the Male’ Commercial Harbour. President was accompanied by Finance Minister Ali Hashim and members of the National Planning Council. President Nasheed was briefed by the Chairman and Managing Director of Maldives Ports Limited about the current developments since the appointment of the new Board of Directors of Maldives Ports Limited.

350 Rally

Staff of Maldives Ports Limited participated in the rally to mark '350' and the international climate action day. The walk started from Youth Center at 4:00pm and walked all the way to Lonuziyaaraiykolhu. This event was organised by ECOCARE Maldives.
